3. The switch.
The switch (network commutation) is characterized by quantity of ports and connected to a router or other switch. Network cables are connected to ports from servers.
it is possible to save not badly on a switch. There are switches for $1000 and there for 2000 , and there are that cost $7500 and even you can buy them for $50?

Application of a method of “Overselling” allows to save on the traffic (channel) up to 400 % of means. Clear business to the detriment of productivity.
What is overselling? Actually all of us already met it at the local providers. In race behind the prices providers try to surpass each other and on light appear the packages “Economical” i.e. the unwarranted channel. You are connected to the provider on the speed of 1 Mbs (more or less, it is not important) and your provider will push 1000 more clients into the same channel having promised everyone megabit or simply on 1G free of charge. But simple calculations show what can really be done on this channel.

In a reality it is an ideal (laboratory) variant which is achievable if to connect only 2 computers to each other and to drive traffic between them.
Never in such variant the channel loading will be 100 %
In the evening (when the people come home) channel loading will reach up to 300 % (with the result following from here) it will have 10-15 % at late night as a result of 316 G will really decrease and in actual practice will accept the value of 250G.
So we sell 1000 gigabyte and we have 250G all – really all that is not badly. Here is the truth – it will be practically not possible to work in the Internet at certain hours. But it will be cheap.
Thus, it is really possible to reduce considerably the price of Internet cost.
