The pyro will set fire to players who are close enough and inflict a lot of damage over time through burning. The pyro hasn’t got much in the way of range and so must rely on ambushing people who are off guard. Pyros can also flush out a cloaked spy with ease by giving them a lick of flame. Can again be played in a defensive role to confuse any incoming attackers. A pyro will make defending your snipers and sentry guns from spys alot easier. A skilled pyro also has a deflection ability allowing sending projectiles flying back in the direction they came from and also can help clear patches of the deadly sticky bombs.
