Let’s Describe This Charming Wii Nintendo.
At the international exhibition Electronic Entertainment Expo 2005, dedicated to computer games and consoles a new extremely promising offspring was introduced. Certainly I mean Wii Nintendo. Its sudden appearance appeared to be a real revolution in the game world. Among GameCube consoles something really revolutionary new appeared.
Developers explained their choice of the name pointing out that it would be difficult to pronounce the word “revolution” in different parts of the world. But the word “Wii” should be easy to memorize and read in the vast majority of languages existing on the Earth. Apparently, the company wanted to show its closeness to all the gamers. So I hope my additional explanation isn’t required in this case.
But the new name did not give the prefix of new opportunities. And even Nintendo did not mean to compete with such giants as Sony PlayStation 3. To tell the truth, it was clear that even the Xbox360 would be quite a serious rival for Wii Nintendo. Therefore, there is only one way to solve this problem. Certainly in this case the required solution in the price. It’s quite a typical situation for many manufacturers around the world from my point of view. The matter is that some people can’t afford buying a “better” console. That’s why they should purchase something good while cheap such as Wii Nintendo for example. So there’s no wonder that more and more people with relatively moderate financial opportunities choose exactly Wii Nintendo for their home entertainment.
But I should say Wii conquered the game world not only because of its quite an affordable price. The matter is that Nintendo has got its own miracle which every gamer could only dream about. Certainly I mean the Wii Remote. This magic game device turned the entire game world upside down. I’m sure that this Nintendo’s advantage decreased the value of its rivals’ achievements. To cut a long story short it’s a touch controller that reacts to change its position in three-dimensional space. I should say that this controller has got rather an “eccentric” view. I just mean that it’s very similar to your TV remote. Exactly this remote won the primary nomination at the prestigious Game Critics Awards. This nomination is Best of E3 2006 to be exact.
Of course different nominations can contribute into its fame but as you understand the best reward for any manufacturer is our sincere attitude. I mean gamers’ attitude to Wii. The entire game world is happy to have this greatest achievement of entertainment industry as Wii Nintendo. And I’m glad too because Wii Nintendo gives me an unforgettable pleasure every day.
