SUSE Linux Restart / Stop / Start Network Service

Task: Start Network Service

# /etc/init.d/network start
# /etc/init.d/network start eth0

Task: Stop Network Service

# /etc/init.d/network stop
# /etc/init.d/network stop eth0

Task: Restart Network Service

# /etc/init.d/network restart
# /etc/init.d/network restart eth0

If you need to make any changes to IP address or routing table use yast tool, enter:
# yast
Select Network Devices > Network Card
