Software Update Details:
We're updating password requirements for admin usernames in Wordpress in response to some hacking attempts that exploit common word and phrase combinations used in many passwords. The password security has been strengthened to prevent these from occurring.
Effective Date:
Monday - January 20th, 2014
How You May Be Affected:
If you're using our custom rule settings (default upon deployment), there is a chance that any Wordpress installations you're using could be affected, if your current password is not secure. If you are unable to log in via the admin user, you may simply need to contact our staff so we can update your password. We do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We assure you that these changes are being made to improve the security we're able to provide and increase the overall reliability of our hosting services for the long term. If you believe your password is not secure, we would recommend that you update it prior to the effective date above to avoid any problems logging in or the need to contact support.
Thank you so much for taking the time to review this security update information. If you have any questions or concerns about this scheduled update, please don't hesitate to contact our staff for more details.
